James Olotu

Board Chairman

BioMr.James Abiodun Olotu was born in Nigeria on the 1st of January 1958. He attended University of Lagos, where he graduate Accountancy in 1982. He also obtained his MBA in Marketing Management from Ladoke Akintola University in 1999.
James has spent the bulk of his career at Power Holding Company of Nigeria, the Nigerian electricity utility agency, where he had roles in Auditing and Project Management. He has attended national and international training in project management. He is a chartered Accountant and member Institute Of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and a fellow of the Institute. He is an active member of ISACA and has certification in CISA, CIMA and CRISC respectively.
Olotu was appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Niger Delta Power Holding Company in 2006. NDPHC is the special purpose vehicle for the implementation of National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) designed as a fast track solution for power infrastructure capacity expansion including generation, Transmission and Distribution. It included 10 new power stations with total capacity for 4,774 Mega Watts (MW). Several thousand of transmission lines and sub stations, as well as over 295 distribution projects across the country.

BioAuwal A. Gonga has over Two (2) decades of experience in Oil & Gas & other Sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Technology from the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Bauchi (ATBU) and a Certificate of Data Management from NIIT Abuja. He started his career with Tefenco Communications Company and quickly rose to become a marketing consultant. He obtained his Industrial Training at the Petroleum Equalization Funds Abuja. He moved to Fauza Consultants – a Leading clearing house in Dubai that handled logistics around the globe. Later, He joined Diosantos Hallmark Ltd, a UK based Consultancy Firm as International Trade Consultant. He was also Head of Public Sector Division to Treasure Capital & Trust Ltd based in Lagos. He developed several viable and self sustainable programs and models for Natural Resource Utilization & Infrastructure Projects for Worldwide Implementations through dynamic Profit & Non-Profit Organizations. He have gained immense knowledge in Capital Markets, Private Equity Ventures, Capital Funds in the Power Sector. He is versed in Business Process Outsourcing, Operations Management, Market Research, Product Positioning, Partner Searching & Profiling and Due Diligence & Facility Management. As a Board Member of NigerPower TransElectric Limited and NigerPetro, He gained requisite knowledge in the Nigerian Power Sector Reform Unbundling, Privatization, renewable, generation, transmission and distribution of Electricity. As a Board Member of the above Energy Groups, He sourced Biofuel Project Funds for NNPC from the Afriexim Bank.

MAFINDI, ABDULAZEEZMU’AZU

BioMr. Abdula’zeez Mafindi was Born on 5th April 1964, he attended University of Maiduguri, where he graduated with BSc in Library & Information Science in 1992, he also obtained his Masters Degree Msc in Public Administration in the same University in 1996.
Mafindi Spent Bulk of his career in Bureau for Public Enterprises – BPE where he had roles in Transport & Communications Department, Post-Privatisation Monitoring as a Member of Implementation Committee on the Sales of Movable assets at some NPA concessioned Terminals, he served as a Committee Member of Coordinating the Reforms, Restructuring, and concession issues for Port, Marine, & Inland Waterways, He served as Monitoring & Evaluation Committee.
in 2018 He was promoted as a Deputy Director in the Post Transaction Management Department, in 2020 he become the Head of Stakeholders & External Relations Unit in DG’s Office, He served as a member of Board of Directors on behalf of BPE in Nigerian Security Printing & Minting, Egbin Power Lagos, AFAM Power Plant Portharcourt, Benin Electricity Distribution Company and ALSCON. He Retired as a Director of Finance & General Services with the BPE in 2023.
He’s a Member of International Law Institute Washington DC, Royal Institute of Public Admin (RIPA) London, He’s also a member of Niherian Institute of Polciy & Strategic Studies, NIPSS Kuru Jos
